Industrial Cleaner

Location:  Barkston Heath, near Grantham

Full-time: 4 on 4 off shift pattern – Nights 18:30 - 05:30

Rate of Pay: £11.83

                 

Established in 1997, Mid-UK Recycling are a leading waste management company with a proven record of working with businesses and local authorities to achieve a genuine 100% landfill diversion.

In June 2019 the Company was acquired by the Beauparc Utility Group and became New Earth Solutions (West) Ltd.

We are looking for Industrial Cleaners to join our Barkston team (near Grantham). 

This is a manual job and includes heavy lifting for an individual who is self-motivated, but also able to follow instructions.

Main responsibilities:

  • Abiding by & promoting Health & Safety, ensuring all approved policies & processes are followed
  • Sweeping, shovelling and moving any waste that needs removing
  • Following a cleaning schedule to ensure downtime is minimised
  • Undertaking a wide variety of cleaning activities using different hand tools
  • Wearing of dust mask
  • Reporting to work on time
  • Operating variety of mobile plant if trained and required
  • Performing other duties as the Company may from time to time reasonably require

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Ability to work at heights and be harnessed trained
  • Understanding ‘lock off’ procedures and ability to complete a lock off form
  • Fitness to be able to do physical work and ability to climb ladders
  • Attention to detail

Training will be provided and funded for the following skills:

  • Cherry Picker (Mobile Boom)
  • Bobcat (Skidsteer)
  • Scissor Lift
